Close-up of painting on a piece of "Corcho" pottery. Corcho (cork in Spanish) pottery has a rough bisque like surface, usually grey or tan, and the interior of the piece are coated in a high glaze. The decoration will be in a thick raised glaze. Older pieces of corcho were made in have a wider variety of colors, which included yellows and pinks. Recent corcho pottery tends to stay with the tans, greys, blues and dark greens.
