Circa 1940-50's Tlaquepaque pottery plate. Tlaquepaque was the major center for producing the lead glaze pottery sold to toursits during the 1930's 40's and 50's. This pottery is usually hand made and hand decorated and very collectible. Because it was fired at a low temperature, the pottery is soft and prone to chipping and flaking. Minor chips and flakes are acceptable when collecting this type of pottery.
