Salsa Cheesecake

Don't look at the calorie counter when you sample this cake
1 cup crushed tortilla chips
1/2 cup melted butter or margarine
2 (8-ounce)packages cream cheese
1 pint sour cream
2 eggs
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup chopped green onions
1 to 2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 (16-ounce) jar chunky salsa

Preheat oven to 350 F. Mix tortilla chips with melted butter. Press mixture into the bottom of a springform pan. Place in shallow baking pan.

In mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream and eggs. Beat until smooth with electric mixer at medium speed. Stir in cheddar cheese, onions, garlic and pepper. Mix well. Pour cheese mixture into prepared pan.

Bake 30 minutes or until set. Cool cheesecake on wire rack. Refrigerate until serving. Remove from pan. Top the cheesecake with salsa and cut into wedges.

Makes 12 servings.
